    What Happens After A Divorce?

    The Results Of Divorce

    1. The marriage is dissolved which means that the husband and the wife are now single people again.
    2. It also means that any gifts in the Will of either one of the spouses to the other is, no longer applicable. That is, unless a contrary intention appears within the Will itself.
    3. Both parties are now free to remarry.
    4. Neither party is entitled to receive a spouse’s pension in the event of the death of the other spouse.
